- artificial turf installed in 1971 through donation by ex-Buckeye Lou Fischer
- first night game: September 14, 1985 v. Pittsburgh(W, 10-7)
- natural grass reinstalled in 1990
- rennovated from 1999-2001 through sale of luxury boxes and club seats
- added club seats, luxury boxes, AA deck, permanent South Stands, additional restrooms and consessions
- playing field was lowered 14 1/2 feet
- cost $194 million
- now seats 101,568
- attendance record: 105,565 on September 10, 2005 v. Texas(L, 25-22)
- enscribed on the side of the stadium are: For Friendship Through Contest, For Strength, For Vigor, For Concourse and Comradeship,
