  • first hockey game 1/2/1999 v. Michigan(W, 1-0)
  • sits 17,500 for hockey, 19,200 for basketball, 21,000 for concerts
  • larger then some NBA and NHL arenas
  • borded by Fred Taylor Drive, Olentangy River Road, Borror Drive, and Lane Avenue
  • Keystone of West Campus sports complex also including Woody Hayes Athletic Center, Bill Davis Stadium, Jesse Owens Stadium, and Buckeye Field
